The Mystic Team
Night | 1
Parfait had situated herself in an area near the river that sliced through the woods. Looking out on the water, she was currently attempting to go to sleep, but she couldn't rest very easily in the darkness of the forest, the trees so thick that only a few beams of moonlight were able to filter through. Covering herself with her wings to condense herself into a smaller entity, she shivered as a light breeze flitted through the leaves. It was times like these she felt the most isolated, and considering how badly she tended to feel when she wasn't around anyone, it didn't help much. She looked off at the rippling stream of water, and gave a small sigh. Her eyes began to feel like water balloons within a second, and she couldn't stop herself from letting a few tears stain her cheeks.
Where was everyone? That was all she wanted to know. She didn't know if she could handle it anymore. After all, her job; her whole life, even, revolved around others. Sobbing quietly to herself, she shuddered with the breeze, still trying to get herself warmer.

Asmodeus had been busying herself since around noon that day, busily picking up fallen branches, twigs, and leaves from the forest floor to build herself a shelter for the coming weeks. She never liked staying in one location for more than a few weeks at a time so as to avoid overusing areas of the forest and to also keep from being found as easily. Often she would just dismantle each nest after the next to let the remains return to the earth, leaving her having to scour new materials for every new shelter. The large leaves and branches she carried in her arms as she darted through the trees were the last parts she'd need before she would bed down for a night near the river.
It wasn't until she reached her elevated nest that she looked across the riverbanks and happened to spot a small white blob. A fancy rock perhaps? That was nothing of interest to her, so she went about her business, gingerly crossing one stick over another and laying the soft, broad leaves on top. This must have been her best nest yet; nearly invisible in the treetop and perfectly placed so Asmodeus could listen to the soothing sounds of crying and flowing river.
Wait-
The Sceptile paused, just as she was about to lay down and looked back outside of her nest at the source of the hushed sobs. Something was out there, behind that rock maybe. No, it was coming from the rock.
Ever so carefully, Asmodeus eased her way out of her trees and closer to the bank of the river, thankfully with minimal noise to give her direct location away. Crouched behind a tall tuft of grass, she observed this mysterious crying individual from a ways away, hoping it wouldn't be hostile to her or the forest she now claimed as her own.
